For a candidate, it starts when they first apply. Their first contact with your organisation is probably the conversation they have with the recruiter – they are your first representative. From there, everything that happens on their journey through your recruitment process will influence the way they perceive you, and ultimately whether they accept if you offer them a position.
For a client, it probably starts when the line manager starts trying to put a job specification together so they can get it signed off by all the relevant people – HR, the Board etc. From there, it’s often about logistics, time management and hassle.
